Strengthening Collaboration in Security Research: Thanks to All Who Joined Us in Bari!
A big thank you to everyone who joined us in Bari last Thursday for the 3rd edition of our workshop series Networking within the Security Research Community!
Held on 23 April at the University of Bari Aldo Moro, the event launched the co-creation of a joint position paper. Building on the previous edition’s policy brief, focused on strengthening governance, ethics, and the reuse of AI solutions for investigating cyber-enabled crime, the initiative will also contribute to ongoing discussions on the EU’s Tenth Framework Programme.
It was an immense pleasure to see colleagues from the four co-organising partners, PRESERVE, ENSEMBLE, SafeHorizon, together with the LEA Projects Cluster, come together alongside partners from GANNDALF, AVALANCHE, and other initiatives across the security research community in a joint effort toward co-authoring a shared paper.
Special thanks to the University of Bari Aldo Moro for hosting this event, and to our experts, moderators, and rapporteurs for shaping engaging discussions around the main topic: Beyond Tools: Governing AI in Law Enforcement Investigations – Ethics, Operational Continuity, and Organisational Preparedness.
We are grateful for the energy, ideas, and connections that emerged in Bari, and we look forward to continuing this collaboration and building meaningful outcomes together! 🤝
