PRESERVE at the 12th Conference of the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation in Spain

Representatives of PRESERVE’s coordinating partner, Gradiant, participated in the 12th edition of the Framework Programme Conference on 28 November in Oviedo, Spain.

Organized by the CDTI (Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology) in collaboration with the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation, and Universities, the European Commission, the City Council of Oviedo, and Sekuens, the event served as a key platform to assess the progress of Horizon Europe, with a particular focus on Spain’s participation and contributions.

PRESERVE was among the selected projects featured in the event’s poster exhibition, which showcased key initiatives coordinated by Spanish entities and funded by Horizon Europe.

During the conference, an in-depth review of Spain’s participation in Horizon Europe provided insights into the country’s achievements and areas for improvement.

One of the key highlights of the event was the discussion on the European Union’s next Framework Programme for Research and Innovation (2028–2034). Experts from various fields shared their perspectives, offering a clearer vision of future opportunities and the steps needed to maximize Spain’s role in the evolving research ecosystem.

Beyond the informative sessions, the conference provided attendees with tailored advice on Horizon Europe, enabling them to clarify specific concerns and receive direct guidance from industry experts. Additionally, dedicated networking opportunities facilitated valuable connections, fostering collaboration and the exchange of ideas among organizations, researchers, and policymakers.
