Joint International Stakeholder Workshop: What an inspiring day in Madrid!

Workshop Madrid

PRESERVE, in collaboration with sister projects SafeHorizon and ENSEMBLE and the LEA Projects Cluster, successfully hosted a joint stakeholder event on 29 October at the Eurostars Tower in Madrid. The event marked the second edition of the Networking within the Security Research Community! series, launched by PRESERVE in April 2025 in Athens, and brought together key actors to foster collaboration, knowledge exchange, and synergies across the security research community.

On behalf of all four organising partners – PRESERVE, SafeHorizon, ENSEMBLE, and the LEA Projects Cluster – we would like to thank all participants for the lively and insightful discussions during our Joint Stakeholder Workshop in Madrid.

The collaborative clustering workshop brought together a diverse range of stakeholders for focused dialogue on key challenges and gaps across five thematic areas, aiming to generate actionable outcomes and draft a common policy brief following the event.

We hope the outcomes will contribute to a joint policy brief providing valuable input to the European Commission’s policy agenda and supporting the strengthening of the European security research ecosystem.

A big thank you to everyone who made this 2nd edition of our international workshop series Networking within the Security Research Community! a success! 🤝

We are already looking forward to the 3rd edition in April 2026 in Bari!
