International Workshop on Civil Security & Proactive Threat Detection and Prevention
PRESERVE’s first international workshop took place on 4 April in Athens — a big thank you to all who joined us!
On 4 April, PRESERVE hosted its first international workshop on Civil Security and Proactive Threat Detection and Prevention. The workshop was held in conjunction with the project’s second face-to-face meeting in Athens and took place in a hybrid setting.
The half-day workshop explored opportunities to align efforts, share knowledge, strengthen cooperation, and coordinate joint actions between the participating initiatives. A number of areas for collaboration were identified, and we look forward to turning these ideas into action and keeping the momentum going – through future workshops and other cluster activities.
A BIG thank you to all participants – whether in person, online, or via video – from our sister projects and related initiatives for the excellent presentations, valuable insights into their project work, and the fruitful discussions.
We had the pleasure of taking a deep dive into the work of ARMADILLO, AVALANCHE, ENSEMBLE, GEMS, NOTIONES, the two PRESERVE projects, the EACTDA Tools4LEAs project, and the Hellenic Police. The following discussions were both engaging and insightful, demonstrating that collaboration is not only possible but also highly beneficial for all – even within the sensitive contexts these projects and organisations operate in.
Special thanks also to our project partner KEMEA for hosting the event.
